PROWERB’s new sustainability report proves that sustainability can be more than just a green label on products and lofty marketing messages. The review of 2024 demonstrates the success of consistent self-commitment.

(PresseBox) (Kleve, 12.06.2025) Surveys show a growing importance of sustainability aspects in purchasing decisions. Against the backdrop of increasing environmental awareness, end consumers are in many cases even willing to pay more for a sustainable offer. Accordingly, companies are highly interested in achieving a credible perception of their own products and services.
However, long-term effects can only be achieved if sustainability is an essential aspect of comprehensive strategic corporate management. The North Rhine-Westphalian full-service provider for promotional material logistics, procurement of promotional materials, and customized digital solutions PROWERB proves how this can succeed—and that sustainable corporate management can also pay off economically. The Sustainability Report 2024, now published by PROWERB, also illustrates that the successful implementation of sustainability strategies is not a sprint, but a marathon that requires continuous commitment.
In 2024, PROWERB published its 2023 Sustainability Report, the first report on the progress made in the previous year in the field of sustainable corporate management. The focus here was on the solar rooftop system operated by PROWERB since October 2023 – with more than 2,400 solar modules and a total output of almost 1,000 kWp, the second largest of its kind in Kleve. The 2024 Sustainability Report also focuses on energy supply. Within one year, PROWERB succeeded in further expanding the system and, with a yield of 973,500 kWh, compensating for more than 100 percent of the total energy consumption while at the same time establishing a negative CO2 balance.

The expansion of sustainable energy supply was accompanied by measures to increase energy efficiency and reduce emissions, such as optimizing shift times and changing mobility in favor of emissions-free intralogistics. In addition, the company consistently focuses on waste avoidance. Essential tools here are the digitalization of previously paper-based processes and packaging optimization. PROWERB therefore relies on both the reuse of interchangeable packaging and filling material and on recyclable paper adhesive tapes with environmentally friendly adhesive.
As an employer, Prowerb also documents with the 2024 Sustainability Report the combination of environmental awareness, social responsibility and commitment to an attractive working environment. This also includes the promotion of e-mobility as part of an e-bike initiative, which began in 2023. Overall, the targeted financial promotion of the purchase of electric bicycles in the second year of the initiative more than doubled participation to 21%.
The current sustainability report not only proves the continuation of the commitment, but also consciously raises the bar for the current year by several notches. Among the topics that Prowerb wants to actively address in 2025 are disposal logistics, the reduction of water consumption and further measures for the comprehensive embedding of sustainability in the company.

"The current sustainability report not only documents the progress we have made in implementing the various measures to increase sustainability," explains Thorben Janßen, Head of Environmental and Quality Management at Prowerb GmbH. "It is also at the same time proof of the compatibility of ecological responsibility and entrepreneurial success, as well as an incentive to continue on the chosen path with commitment."
