PROWERB continues to drive sustainable energy supply forward and has expanded its in-house photovoltaic system for the third consecutive time. The newly completed construction phase adds another 110 kWp, bringing the total system capacity to 1.5 megawatt peak (MWp).
Reduction of 545 tons of CO₂ per year
A total of around 3,700 solar modules now produce environmentally friendly electricity on the company’s rooftops.
Through continuous expansion, PROWERB makes a significant contribution to environmental and climate protection.
The photovoltaic system alone saves more than 545 tons of CO₂ annually — an amount equivalent to the emissions from over 4.5 million kilometers driven by passenger cars.
The amount of energy generated is sufficient to cover the annual electricity needs of approximately 420 average households.
Investment in the Future
“We recognized early on that sustainable business practices are not only an ecological responsibility but also make economic sense,” explains Sebastian Noy, Managing Director of PROWERB.
“With every new module installed on our rooftops, we strengthen our energy autonomy and continuously improve our carbon footprint.”
A central focus for the company is on expanding its share of self-consumed energy. Even now, part of the electricity generated is used directly on-site.
In the coming years, PROWERB plans to further increase this share — for example, through the use of intelligent energy management systems, peak load optimization, and, in the future, storage solutions.
Sustainability as Part of the Company’s DNA
The photovoltaic initiative is part of a comprehensive sustainability concept that PROWERB implements step by step.
In addition to solar power generation, this includes measures for energy efficiency, careful use of resources, and long-term strategies for CO₂ reduction.
“For us, sustainability doesn’t just mean generating energy from renewable sources, it also means making our entire operations more climate-friendly,” the company continues. “That’s why we are fully committed to continuously increasing our self-consumption rate and further reducing our reliance on fossil energy sources.”
