PROWERB was founded in 1979 as the lettershop of a neighboring print shop — mailing here is not an add-on service but the founding trade. From that grew an operation: 1989 brought fulfillment, 1996 the high-bay warehouse, 2022 the new building with 25,000 square meters — and kitting & assembly and finishing grew out of the lettershop.
Today more than a thousand campaigns run through the lines in Kleve each year — assembled, finished, dispatched. And the in-house team apparel? Runs through the same presses, flocked with the red plus. These peak figures refer to baseline output: 200% is double, 400% is fourfold (+300%).
Achievable volume and lead time are agreed for the item mix, goods and data availability, staffing and shift plan.
The campaign line is planned around the bill of materials, packing effort, available goods and approved data. Changeover and daily output depend on the job; timely sample approval and staffing are prerequisites for ramp-up.

Five processes, all in Kleve: flocking, transfer printing, embroidery, screen printing and direct-to-garment printing — up to series production. The in-house team apparel also runs through the same presses.
Kitting & assembly runs by bill of materials, booked in the proprietary enterprise resource system — the ERP and WMS PROWERB CORE with real-time bookings. A mixed-up insert doesn't just go unnoticed once but tens of thousands of times; that's why the final handling step at our facility runs as a managed system process, not a verbal instruction at the packing table.
An addressed mailing is data processing on behalf of a controller — and is treated as such: with an external data protection officer (Daseco) instead of an internal dual role, plus a whistleblower portal for reports.
