An ordering window brings requirements together.
For a team collection or planned equipment rollout, requirements often need collecting before fulfilment begins. The shop needs a clear ordering period and an understandable status after closing.

Example ordering window
- Acceptance
- Day 1 through day 14
- Status
- Ordering window open
- After the deadline
- Consolidate demand and begin processing
An ordering deadline is not a delivery date. Subsequent procurement or production is planned separately.
Compare with group buyingPreorders in Agora connect the product, ordering window and intended capacity. Buyers can see when to enter their requirements and how subsequent processing is organised.
How it works.
Open the campaign
The preorder shows the related products and intended period for collecting requirements.
Check capacity and quantity
The buyer considers the required quantity against the capacity available within the ordering window.
Enter the requirement
The order line is assigned to the preorder. Its status and relationship to the campaign remain traceable.
Understand closing
After the window closes, the intended processing follows. A closed ordering period is distinct from production approval and delivery.
Explain closing and delivery dates separately.
The ordering deadline states how long requirements are collected. It does not by itself determine production, dispatch or arrival dates. Those dates and responsibilities are agreed for the campaign and explained appropriately in the shop.

Frequently asked questions.
How does this differ from group buying?
Preorders centre on the ordering period. Group buying also shows shared quantity progress and an intended tier.
Is everything available for delivery as soon as ordering closes?
No. Capacity, subsequent processing and agreed delivery dates are separate information. We align them with the project workflow.
Fits your workflow.
How should your shop use this feature?
We develop Agora and use it to build your individual B2B shop. Let us discuss the workflow, configuration and integrations you need.
