Shop builds & migration

We build your shop with fulfilment in mind.

PROWERB connects design, catalogues and ordering with the systems behind the shop. For B2B tasks, we build on our own shop software, Agora Commerce.

Platforms and their role

Agora Commerce is our own B2B shop system. Magento, Shopify and JTL extend the choice for suitable business models. The decision follows the assortment, customer groups, integrations and operating model.

  • Magento

B2B portals and custom shop logic

  • Shopify

    D2C and brand shops

  • JTL

Thesis

Agree operations before go-live.

Catalogue maintenance, prices, platform updates and open customer cases need owners after launch. Setup and operations are planned together; existing agencies, manufacturers and logistics partners can remain involved through defined handovers.

Agora Commerce · Developed by PROWERB

The right shop supports the whole process.

With Agora Commerce, we build B2B shops for employees, dealers and procurement teams. The catalogue, roles, budgets and ordering process are configured for your project.

Example workflow

The shop changes. The order stays the same.

An existing brand shop is moving to a new platform. Some orders are paid but not shipped, while others are in transit or being returned. These cases need a clear home before the new checkout opens.

We therefore plan a shared handover state: which cases finish in the previous system, which move and how will later status updates reach the correct order? Catalogues and accounts are checked alongside them. The cutover date follows a proven operating process, as well as a finished design.

    Platforms

The platform follows the business model. Not the other way around.

A B2B dealer portal, a D2C brand shop, or marketplace integration all demand different architectures. For complex B2B procurement, Agora Commerce is our own commerce system and comes first; we use partner platforms where they fit the case better.

    Scope of services

From the first wireframe to the last credit note.

At PROWERB, running a shop doesn't mean hosting plus a hotline. It means: the shop, its data and its processes have an owner.

01Build & replatforming →New builds, takeover and migration of existing shops, plus ongoing operations.
02Catalog & master dataNew item listing, renaming, deactivation, SKU maintenance — the product master stays consistent across shop, warehouse and accounting.
03Order-to-cash →Order intake, confirmation, invoice, credit note. The commercial process runs in the same house as dispatch.
04Data protection (GDPR) →Agree data protection roles, access and the documents required for shop operation. Product-specific WEEE and CE requirements are considered separately with the responsible manufacturer.
05Integration →Interfaces to ERP, inventory management and logistics partners. The shop talks to the warehouse, not past it.
06Ongoing developmentUpdates, new payment methods, new markets, continuous optimization — with a dedicated account manager instead of a ticket queue.
07Product compliance (WEEE/CE) →Clarify which product documents apply and who supplies and updates them. Manufacturer responsibilities remain with the responsible company.
    Process

From platform selection through go-live to operations.

Go-live is the fourth step here; the fifth describes daily operations. For a larger fulfilment takeover, introduction follows seven phases (0–6). Around 14 weeks is a planning guideline once master data, contracts, inventory transfer, interfaces and approvals are settled. A digital build or smaller scope receives its own schedule.

    1. 01

      Analysis & platform choice

Business model, assortment, channels — the system decision follows from these.

    2. 02

      Data & integration

Product master, ERP and inventory management interfaces, logistics setup.

    3. 03

      Build or migration

New build or replatforming — including catalog takeover and testing of the entire order process.

What we run for customers, we run ourselves.

For Botament and Ultrament, brands of the MC-Bauchemie group, PROWERB manages digital channels and goods handling. The existing mandate shows how shop maintenance, marketing, logistics and customer service work together.

    Physical × Digital

Carry open cases through the transition.

Before switching, the team defines which system will carry open orders, returns and documents through to completion. The handover records owners and feedback; new orders start after agreed acceptance.

    Before we start

    What we agree before starting.

These decisions define scope, responsibilities and acceptance.

    What actually needs migrating?

Assess history, accounts and product data by usefulness, technical feasibility and retention. Plan any required password reset early.

    When should cutover wait?

Missing stock reconciliation, unclear payments or lost status updates are explicit stop criteria. A further attempt receives a newly agreed window.

    FAQ

The questions before the first meeting.

Why managed service instead of a one-off project?

Because a shop's costs arise after go-live: maintenance, updates, processes, peak operations. In the managed service, PROWERB carries this responsibility on an ongoing basis — with a dedicated account manager instead of rotating project teams.

Which shop systems does PROWERB use?

Agora Commerce, Magento, Shopify and JTL support different business models. The choice follows the case — complex B2B procurement, a D2C shop or marketplace integration.

Do you take over existing shops?

Yes. Replatforming and taking a live shop into operations are planned together: data, integrations, orders and dispatch must remain reliable throughout the change.

Is logistics mandatory as part of it?

No — but it's the reason to choose PROWERB. Shop operations and fulfillment come from the same house. Combining both saves the interface between agency and logistics provider.

How does PROWERB handle GDPR, WEEE and DAC7?

As a component of operations, not a footnote: GDPR-sensitive shop operations are proven in a statutory health insurer's mandate, WEEE/CE maintenance in direct-to-consumer furniture sales, DAC7 reporting in a construction-chemicals manufacturer's platform business.
